Im trying to install Symantec Antivirus 9 but it says I need to update the Root Certificates in Windows 98 via Windows Update. I went to windows update and installed everything but there was no Root Certificates... Now I cant update the Root Certificates and install antivirus... How do I get these? I know Windows XP/2000 has the Root Cirtificates in the Windows Intall but thats only 2000/XP...
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick, hello everyone,
Check out this link
to the Symantec website regarding your issue.Best Regards,
Mesich

Hello, I don't know if you already solved the problem but just in case, I had the same exact problem before and the link on the previous post by Mesich has the right solution. HOWEVER, once you get to the Symantec page I suggest you use option #2 on the Solutions section. When I tried it, it only took me back to the Windows update page where after searching for Windows Updates needed it did not find the Root Cert update I needed. So I went back to the Symantec page and click on the link in the Step #2 "download the patch directly from the Microsoft Web site." and that downloaded the Root Certificate and solved the problem for me.

Sorry, On my previous post words got cut off.
Where it says "When I tried it, it only took me to Windows Update..."
It should day "When I tried Step #1, it only took me..."
