I have a really old mother board a MS-6168 Ver:2. I would like to add some extra memory, a new hard drive, and maybe a new Graphic card but I don't know the limits of my Mother board. Can someone please help?

I would like to know as much as possible about my Motherboard.

AThere doesn't seem to be any links to manuals for this MB. As a general rule though you may spend more money attempting to upgrade a machine like this than it is worth. Do you have a manual for this machine? I would say that your present memory is suffiecent for Win98. A new harddrive can always use a drive overlay if the BIOS won't allow configuring a drive of the size you select. As far as the graphics card goes, you need to know more about your machine. Download and run Everest Home Edition. This free utility will tell you about your hardware, including many of the questions you pose here. After you have the system info I suggest you then post again if you still have questions. Find Everest here: http://www.lavalys.com/

Hi

Well I haven't googled or anything, but I doubt if your board handles a 200G drive in a
standard setup. Use of an 48bit (required for large drives) ide pci card adapter would be my
first choice. Dynamic Disk Overlay may be an option, but many problems come with them.

Someone might be able to recommend such a card.
