I need help to find decoder for DVD

Hi.
I have a problem with my dvd. when I try to play a movie show a error. The program says: "...Unable to find decoder". I know I need a decoder, but I can't find it. My computer is a Compaq presario 7462. The DVD is COMPAQ DVD-ROM SD-608. and the device manager show a unknow dispositive called "PCI BRIDGE". I think that have a relation between the decoder and it.

Sorry to ask an obvious question, but do you have DVD playing software? Even windows media player can do it, if you cut the section below and paste it into a file called ENABLEDVDUI.REG (no TXT on the end) you can click on it and get a dvd thing in the file menu of windows media player
