I think MSN Messanger will work on a LAN. I know they use it at GM for tele-conferencing. Brother-in-law work there and had told me that is what they use. They use it for both voice and video. I don't use it, so I don't know first hand.

Try looking at netmeeting (start/programs/accessories/internet tools/netmeeting); that might be what you are looking for. Another option is to look at VoIP (voice over IP): Try www.skype.com. You may need a netphone for this, but it's worth a look. regards, Elric
