I lost my connection when playing

When I play games like counter-strike or wolfenstein ect , I lost internet connection after a undefinited time. I close my game and i go back in windows 98, my MSN messager is close and i can't open any pages on internet. I downloaded the new drivers for my modem. I even try with an other modem, but same probleme. It can be my network card but i dont think so. Thank you for helping Hubert-Mathieu (frenchie from canada)
