I just need some instructions on how to partition and format a hard drive so I can get rid of windows95 and then reinstall it. I have a boot disk with fdisk.exe But now what?

If you want to keep windows on it You will have to use a program, I like partition magic 4.0, then in that program you can format. If you want to start all over exit to the dos promt C:\ and type format c:\ it will ask if you want to proceed then say yes. This will delete windows!! then use fdisk form your windows cd and you can set partitions.
I would use Partition magic if you can thought because it is very user friendly

You'll probably want to make sure you have cd support on your startup disk. If not, you can go to www.bootdisk.com to download one with cd support. Win95 boot disk don't have that, only win98 boot disk. You can still use the win98 boot disk to access you cd player though. When you do try to access your cd player with the win98 boot disk, it will bump your cd-rom drive letter up one or two letters.
