Subject: I have to Log Off to Log On!!??!?OS: 98seCPU/Ram: 1400/256 |
Comment: This problem I'm having is that Windows does not prompt me to log on when I boot up. I have to click Start > Log Off and then it brings up the logon screen and I can log on with my username & password. I NEED it to either prompt me to login every time I start Windows or log my user in automatically. I have tried re-installing windows, removing & re-installing all network protocols, services & adapters, deleting all .pwl files, etc. Does anyone know what else I can try? Thanks in advance for the help!

Reply: (edit)Primary network logon is probably Windows logon. Open Network in control panel and change to "client for MS network" as primary logon.

Reply: (edit)Open regedit and do a search for "autologon" If you find this key delete it. Rember messing with the registry can be harmful to you system, BACKUP first before making any changes.
