ok , this is what has happened with my computer. My computer was fine at one point, i was able to use the internet through the internet connection sharing system setup on our computer. My computer is a client, my sisters computer is a server. Now then , one day i decided to delete everything and restart win98se. But when everything had, as it were , restarted, my internet connection would not work because for some reason it wasnt able to communicate with the server. Now, i have checked the control panel, the device (ethernet adapter is fine) is fine. The dialup adaptor is fine. But it still wont work. Everytime i try to on the net, my internet explorer brings up a sign-cannot find server. Then my sisters computer brings
up a signing saying:" an exception OE has occured at 0028:C00A945A in VXD ICSHAREP (01)+ 0001209A. This was called from 0028:C001CBD4 in VXD NDIS (01)+ 000 "
i have tried everyway possible in my own way to solve this problem, what should i do. PLeaseeee help me !
Thanks

you need to check your network protocols etc in control panel and your ip addresses what os is on your sisters pc nt 2000 2000 server??

You need to go to device manager and reinstall the drivers for your network card, even though it may look like everything is ok. It is not. And once you get it to update the driver, have your sister uninstall, reboot, then reinstall the Internet connection sharing, and let the wizard run. Make a client disk. Now run the client disk on the client pc. This is the exact same setup I have. This pc is the server and my son is on the other side of the room using the client pc. Also if you look in windows 98 help files it gives you a tip I found to work for me. It said, even though you don't think you need it to install the NetBEUI protical. I find most of my problems are just with the cables coming loose now, but I did have big problems before like you got now.
