I just downloaded Netmeeting 2.1 and cannot make it work. Has microsoft quit offering the service. I used to get a directory of online users that were waiting for a call, now I cannot get the list. Any suggestions? Are there functional servers other than Microsoft that can be used?
Thanks anyone.

I cannot help you with the sound problems, but I can tell you that there are many more servers available than just the (generally crummy!) ones that Microsoft offers. The one I use is ils.quicknet.net and it is really good; if you want to find others, go to http://www.netmeet.net/bestservers.asp

I have problems with Netmeeting re sharing. The call keeps dropping at any attempt to share. I can use chat, whiteboard etc. ok. One PC is W95 & the other W98 and both running V3.01 with the latest SP.

Well, i have netmeeting installed. It's working behind wingate's proxy system which does allow you to run server's behind the proxy. And yes i do have netmeeting configured for global access. First problem is that connections take ages to complete. Second is that I can get no audio or video. I can see and hear them, but not the other way around. Further investigation revealed that the person I am calling is attempting to connect to my local LAN IP address instead og my internet IP address. Obviously the localhost's IP address is sent out to the other caller. I need a way to override the IP address that netmeeting sends out, and replace it with my internet IP address, then it would work fine.

Thanks for any help
