Comment: i have problem when i try connect to internet
i got error like
"INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT OPEN INTERNET SITE
HTTP:// WWW.YAHOO.COM. A CONNECTION WITH SERVER COULD NOT BE ESTABLISHED".
In my network we r using wingate proxy server and i working as computer technician.
i configuerd so many computer and all those
are able to connect to internet. But i have this problem only with this computer. I configured in same way. pls help me.

Reply: (edit)You menion only Yahoo, does it mean you can access other sites? If not, can you ping your proxy server? If not, can you ping yourself (ping 127.0.0.1)?

Reply: (edit)you have set the proxy settings in the IE options to the correct ip address?! are the network properties correct? what about your WINS and DNS settings - are they correct? badger_fruit
