I have been having occasional problems with Excel recently. Twice after closing off a file and trying to reopen later, an error message occurs stating, "Excel has caused invalid page fault in module MSO97.dll. Program will shut down"
: Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this and how to get around it. I am now unable to open an important file which had not been backed up as regularly as it should.

It seems to me that you overestimated yourself. If you can answer ALL questions, why did you ask one in the first place???

:-))

couldn't suppress the feeling to respond to this one.

I've got a problem with my Pc. Recently I downloaded realplayer and it converted all my wave sounds into its own version. When I un-installed realplayer I could not open the wave sounds again because it turned them into wave files. How can I convert them back into wave sounds. Whenever I download a wave sound It tells me It cant find the damn thing and the program that plays the wave sound no longer works. My Pc is a NT version 4. Thanks

Try downloading WINAMP. The darn thing will play nearly any type of file that there is!

Ranj- Your .wav files have no association to them now, you could go into the Registry and delete any reference to Realplayer and delete the key SOUNDREC and then after closing the Registry you can re-associate using the 'open with' box and selecting the sound recorder .exe or media player

hello,
It seems to me that you already have access to the driver you are looking for. I have a similar problem. I have a Vitra TV graphics card that uses the Trident 8695 chipset. It appears that the videocard is stealing bus bandwidth from my soundcard. Every time I scroll a window or move an interface window, any sound playing (from winamp or even midi files) There is a skipping noise. I have done extensive searches on the web and have not been able to find any applicable solution. I wonder if there is any way to stop the bandwidth stealing in any of the system files. Anyhow, I just want to get some more info and perhaps a url where I can download a new driver for my card. Whatever works is fine with me. I just want to use my videocard in a manner more suited for my machine. I own a PII 450 so speed is not a problem. I wonder if increasing ram would have any affect on the situation. I am planning to purchase ram in the following month so perhaps your input would persuade me even more. Anyways, if it does not take too much of your time, please respond to this. Thank you for your time. Send any pertinent information to KLe@aol.com, thanks.

sincerely,
khoi

The ZIF arm broke on my mother board, and the processor is stuck on the board. Ummm.... I guess this would mean that I am going to be using a 120Mhz processor until I get a new mother baord. *&^%## Any ideas? There is nothing sticking out to grab onto to turn. I guess something told me that I should have given up when my stupid friend tried to superglue the power switch in the on position. And his best friend tried to was my keyboard out by puring alcohol into it. And my wife tried to write click on the screen with a sharpi. When I told her to reset the computer, she moved it to the other side of the desk. Or the time she spilt superglue on the mouse pad doing he nails without telling me she did it. You ever wonder what happens to a CD-ROM drive when you bologna and cheese into the? I do. Freekin kids. There went a new 40X CD-ROM out the window. Luckily I missed the car and hit the birdbath. If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any at all. I am thinking of just selling it on e-bay as is just to get enough to buy a decent montior that doesn't have words written on it.

Make sure you have the latest Bios and ChipSet Driver. The ChipSet Driver was the critical one for me. Once I loaded the latest, most of the problems went away. I have a m1541 Chipset and used the Bata driver.
