Subject: HTML links in Outlook express
Comment:

I just made a small HTML document to use as a signature on my outgoing emails. The link to my homepage is part of that signature. I tried to make the link stay 'red' in keeping with the theme of the signature. BUT, It always shows up in the default 'purple'. I made all the link code red too (ALINK="red" VLINK="red" LINK="red) So why won't it play ball with me?

Thanks Don, but alas... I tried the second option you gave me, and yeah it changed the link colours on webpages that didn't specify thier own link colours. But didn't change my outgoing email link. It remains purple. Here is the line of code from the HTML signature: . So I don't understand why it would be purple. I have sent emails to my other email address and it's always purple. Even with the above code, and Internet options/colours set to red! aHHHHHHHH!

Also, While I was in the Internet Options I added the hover colour just to help me test everything, that works on webpages ok, but again not on my email signature. I have a friend doing the same thing and he is having the same dramas. I use 98SE and he uses 98.

Oh one other thing... When I open the signature just in a browser, it works fine! just like I want, just not in Outlook Express.

Maybe I just have to live with it?
