HPOSM Error

CPU/Ram: amd k-6

On boot up I get the error: HPOSM caused an invalid page fault in module ARHook32.dll@....blah, blah,blah....

I have searched msft's kb and googled both the hposm and the arhook32.dll. There is little to be found. A message seemed to imply something with Earthlink(I have v5.0) and one message said hinted at an HP printer (I have a deskjet 3845). It referred to an article on msft kb, but the link is broken. Any thoughts? Thanks

Don't know.
Have you tried to reinstall the printer drivers ?

i have a hposm error message the program has performed an illegal operation how do i fix it

a page pops up telling me this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down what do i need to do

same problem as crystal benoit.
2 usb ports on motherboard:
- ADSL-CEGETEL-SAGEM modem plugged on one
- HP-PSC1315 printer plugged on the other.

Hposm error disapears when unplugging modem before boot (HP-PSC1315 plugged-in and powered-on)...
