I have the above set up but it is not working with one of my software packages. The package does not use Windows as part of it's dial up routine. Their technical support advised that winmodems were not recomended for use as the software only likes hardware modems possibly because of UART?
The CD for the modem has been 'misplaced' so I cannot use the readme file. I believe it may have to do with enabling hardware flow control. The script file used by the package is easily amendable but I cannot find the AT command set anywhere.

Can any body help?

The USB Modems only work on Win98 no less.
