Hey all,
I installed the HP scanjet 5100c, and the drivers work ok (i think they came from the win98se cdrom). The problem is that the wretched thing won't scan! The HP Precision Scan software keeps crashing my system (OS: Win98SE), and will not do any scanning at all. Anyone else with this prob? HELP PLEASE!

Joch, I have that model. The software needs to be installed first before you connect the scanner to the computer. I don't know if any HP Drivers for that model Scanner are on the 98se disk.
Check out the HP site there is heaps on that thing, you can D/L the latest Drivers from here.......http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/c5197a_swen.html

Good Luck.
