Hi I'm trying to install the HP scanjet 5100c scanner onto a computer. It hooks up with a parallel port but for some reason affects some scsi thing. Another guy tells me i need drivers for parallelto scsi but i checked hp and other places but can't seem to get the scanner to work. Any tips? thanks.

I have a 5100c scanner.. You have the current drivers from HP I assume. What I had to do I found after sifting thru MANY articles at HP that they recommended a parallel SCSI adapter from a different company. I installed it and now my scanner works great!!

If you will post again and leave your email address i could the setup exe.file for the download, I forgot the web page and it took me 2 hours or more to find this site off of HP's.

Blessings

I had a failure with my 5100C and after searching the HP tech support site for updated drivers found a link to Shuttle Technology's parallel SCSI driver, installed it, and it has worked ever since. I searched on the web, and could not find a site for them.
