Comment:

I have a hp 310n that came with win XP. I hate win XP!!! So I formatted and installed with win98 but it is not picking anything up. Especialy the video card, usb and ethernet. HP support is worthless. I tried a driver search and found nothing. Since everything is built in the motherboard I cant get a model number or anything. Now I am lost as to what to try next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

download the system info utility,
install and run.
it will identify every componet in the computer.
xp is the best os going. some folks just cant figure it out. it has the best stability/management of programs, memory, cpu usage ever written for an os.
