OK, I need help from some supreme being...
I have a Asus Motherboard (MEW-AM) Phoenix Bios 4.0
It has the intel on board video chip (Found this driver on driverguide) Win 98 goes on easily. My only problem is ONE Driver...
The only conflict in the device manager is the PCI SYSTEM Management Bus.
Of course, HP tech support hasnt a clue where or how i can ID or locate their own software for this. I bought the cpu/motherboard (Used) out of case. Have ID'd the board, and been to both Asus and HP web sites.
Anyone have a clue where I should look? Perhaps a motherboard software that can ID the needed on board drivers (Demo ver preferred?)
I'd truly appreciate any responses on this. A longtime tech here, and as always, never have any type of uncomplicated time with these damn name brand boards, from name brand PCs. Lord, why can't we abolish name brand garbage built PCs... Compatibles only, should be Law. Thanks

Hawk, dunno if this is gonna help since i have a different mobo (pcchips LMRT) but i too have the onboard crappy intel graphics set and win 98 is a pain in the @ss. You have to install seperate IDE drivers, bus drivers, hub drivers, blha de blah...anyway, i get major conflicts and problems if not done in the correct order! OR if i miss one out...Check out your manual and just make sure you havent got the same hassel.
