Comment: I have upgraded my PC to Win98 from 95. My printer is used to work when I had win95. But after the upgrade It does not work. Basically it hangs-up when I select a driver for HP 500C from the available choices. I do get a message saying that.. "TEST PAGE is printing..." and actually nothing happens at the printer. Is there any way I can get a copy of print driver for HP Deskjet 500C for WINDOWS 98 ????????

Reply: (edit)Similar problems as Vikrant Patel with HP Deskjet 560C under Win98. The printer worked properly under Win 3.1 but after selecting the drivers (files from the CD win98)and beginning to print the computer hangs up. Hp only offers printers for win3.1 and win 3.11 for Deskjet 560C. What can I do? Thanks for answering

Reply: (edit)This is obviously a larger problem than anyone in the drivers seat(s)care to address. HP and/or MS should have been considerate enough to provide for such incompatablility. There are downloads available for anything and everything but Win '98. Where the hell is the support?

Reply: (edit) The Driver for the HP 500c can be found at http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/dj500c_swen.html This driver works with win95 win98 and win 2000 I installed this driver into win98 and win 2000 on the 8/19/2000
