You can't. If you're trying to setup a multi boot system you'll need some kind of boot manager.

Greetings:
You can used fdisk to make multiple partitions, but only one will be the "primary" partition. A second partition is an "extended" partition.
Creating partitions is a fairly complicated, multi-step procedure that is set forth pretty well in an MS Knowledge Base document at:

You cannot have more than 1 primary partition if you use FDISK. If you use a third party partitioner such as Partition Magic you can have up to 4 with Microsoft Operating systems. Only one can be active (being the boot drive) at any given time. The extended partition is also a primary partition.

Uh...no, it's not. A Primary DOS Partition is very different than an Extended Partition.

I'm talking the Base Extended Partition, not the logical partition(s) that it may contain. That is what Partition Magic labels the "Extended Partition".

wizard-fred, I had assumed that you were talking about fdisk's partitions.

What version od PM are you using? I have PM7, & I don't remember it using those terms (though I could be wrong...I'll have to boot up my other PC to check).

wizard-fred is right.

The extended partition is a special kind of primary partition which allows logical drives to be hosted.

The extended partition was invented to get over the maximum number of 4 partitoins allowed.
