1) backup any files you want on your hdd 2) shut down in dos mode 3) type format C: 4) once finnished re-boot your computer with you XP pro disk in your cd drive 5) this will begin the xp install procedure 6) if it does not, refer to your bios, and make sure your CD rom is your 1st bootable device

Make a startup disc (control panel>add/remove programs>make startup disc). Restart your computer (with startup floppy in your drive), go to BIOS (press DELETE button at the begining of restarting) in the advanced bios features, set floppy as your first boot device. Save and exit (F10), and your comp will be booted from floppy in DOS mode (choose: BOOT WITH CD-ROM SUPPORT). Type: FORMAT C: press ENTER,if your systemdisc driveletter is C. Once your disc is formated, type: E: press ENTER (if your CD-ROM driveletter is E). Then type: DIR press ENTER. When XP directoriums are listed, type: SETUP press ENTER, and follow setup instruction that will lead you through the rest of the process. Hope this will help. WOS
