How to uninstall ICQ

windows can't uninstall ICQ because of missing "icq2000.log. What is best alternative? drag folder from "my computer" to recycle bin and use find for left files or install an older Mcafee uninstaller and try that? don't think reinstall prog. will work as believe I'm supposed to uninstall old ver.before adding new.

How do I uninstall ICQ?
A. To uninstall ICQ, click Start -> Programs -> ICQ -> Uninstall ICQ. You can also click Start -> Settings -> Add/Remove Programs. Locate ICQ and choose Remove.
Did you try this or Add/Remove in Control Panel? If you still can't remove it, delete the ICQ folder in Program Folder, then search for ICQ using Search function. Remove all references to ICQ. Then run RegCleaner and remove ICQ from the registry. If you don't have RegClean, go to Start -Run- type in regedit. Click on HKEY-Local machine - software- mirabilis and delete the entry. At least that is the way I would do it.

windows add/remove or prog. uninstall won't work - missing log file. Question - do you think manual uninstall would be better than installing the Mcafee and trying that?
