Hello everyone, Im writing to all of you, about a growing concern with the ridicules amount of junk e-mail's people are receiving commonly known as "SPAM emailing", im commonly asked as to how people stop receiving these emails, so i have decided to write to all of you to tell you how to prevent this from occurring To do this i have to introduce you to a term called "spy ware", spy ware is a program or programs that self install whilst browsing the internet, also commonly install when installing free software off the internet, you will not know these are installing! what they are, are programs built by market research companies that record all the web pages you visit and the email address's you type, and send them back to the market research companies whilst your browsing the internet, who in return send you back emails relating to web pages you have visited. What this means if you have spy ware on your computer · Your internet browsing will be slowed down, because not only are you surfing the internet, your also sending information to these companies. · Your giving your friends email address's to these companies as well · YOUR RECEIVING JUNK EMAILS! SO "How do i get rid of these programs" I hear you ask, how you do it is by using anti-spy ware software such as Ad-aware you can download this program and what it does is scans your hard drive for these spy ware programs and gives you an option to delete them. A link to the downloading web page: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ Install the program called Ad-aware 5.5 to your hard drive and once finished open it by clicking "Start" "Programs" "Ad-aware 5.5", and follow the instructions to scan your hard drive for spy ware, once completed you have an option of backing up the files before you delete them (WHICH I STRONGLY SUGGEST) after backing up the files you can then delete all the spy ware files. Which will stop people getting your email address! and Speed up your internet connection!, This program will not stop the marketing companies who already have your email address from emailing you, but it will stop more companies from getting your email address and sending you more junk emails. Extra Hint: When a junk email has at the bottom of the page "Click here to be removed" and it redirects you to a website where you put in your email address in to be removed DO NOT ENTER IN YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS what these sites generally do is add your email address to more mailing lists.. BTW, Gator ceratinly isn't all bad, and there are many of us who appreciate its ability to handle routine fill-in data. Its purported propensity to report back home can be contained by simply checking the no Internet access for it in Zone Alarm.

ok thats fine if you like Gator, that may be your tastes but any company who offers a program that fills out forms and forgets to tell you they also install spyware is straight out dodgie, and its also fine for any computer buff.. who knows anything about spyware and how to stop it but what about the majority of novices out there who have no idea why they are receiving junk emails.. "and to answer you rac" naivety equals stupidity, so the more you educate people out in the www the less idiots out there, but im guessing that’s a lesson your yet to learn
