Hello,
in 98 SE, is there a way to show the connection icon (those two blinking monitors) on system tray, when connecting thru LAN?

heres an idea. theres an led in the back of your NIC, just rewire the NIC. and put an led on the side of your monitor an connect it to the NIC. Its kind of a dumb idea, but whats the point of having a icon is the system tray. If you connected to a cable modem, then your connected all the time as long if your pc is on. If you want to see if someone is connected to your pc over the network, you can use network watcher.

I have not found a way other than 3rd party software. There are a few of them out there.
On the home page it shows several meters that are of no interest to me. I like the System tray icon that has a upper Red arrow for uploads and a green lower arrow for downloads. It shows activity.
