Hey you helpfull one! I have just got a high speed internet. I have bought a switch to connect both of my computers to internet. It works good, but I would also like to share files between the two of them! How to do that with a switch? (I have to dynamic IP adresses, one to each computer)

Jack,
Try to make a share and to ad it in your network neightborhood, maby that will works, over here, i work with a swith like that to, but i use Nat (ISP does DHCP, internally, ip adresses are fixed)
If you want to share files, assuming that both PCs run Windows: Ensure in your network neighborhood properties, under idenfication (for W95 and W98, ME) or system properties, under network identification (for W2K and XP) that your PCs are in the same workgroup. This is done by giving the same name in the workgroup field for each PC. Also, the PCs must have a unique computer name. Now, you must also enable (in network properties) file and printer sharing. Then reboot each. You can then right-click and choose sharing, then share whatever folders you want on each PC. Browse to the PC using network neighborhood.
