I have deleted a folder with files containing data from my system which has windows 98 operating system. I have tried to retrieve the files using certain undeleting tools which are only retrieving the files but not the folder and files within the deleted folder. Is there any tool or facility to retrieve this deleted folder...

The only way I can think of now is from recycle bin. From there you can restore files and it will place the files in the same folder that they were deleted from.

You do not say what the folder is or whether you can still get into WIN98. If the folder is system data and not your own personal stuff and you can get into WIN98, go over the top of the existing installation by re-installing WIN 98 from inside Windows.
Go to start/run and run the WIN98 setup from there. This will retain all your programmes and their settings and you should have your folder back and the info.

The Folder contains personal files, it is not a system folder.
It has been removed from the recycle bin too..Iam able to get into win 98 and also able to retrieve the files deleted completly , using a tool called file recover 2000 fron www.rognerud.com/file-recover/ but this tool is retrieving files only and not the folders or files which have been deleted along with the folders...
