Some virus have deleted my system's partition table.Now my system is not booting.I have seen people retreving information from hard disk using norton utilities (fat file system) . I have nu.exe,
but I don't know how to retreive it.Can anybody send me the exact step by step procedure to extract my data from the second copy of fat using norton utilities (nu.exe).Pls mail to this Email ID:

To be honnest with you, since I am computing myself, I never saw any system 100% able to recover a hard-disk.
The best would be you bring your hard-disk to a specialist which will connect it to a computer with a program able to save important data to another folder.
Then restore completly your computer using a windows reinstall kit or Quickrestore kit if you have one given with your computer when you bought it.....
Otherwise you will get lost with all your attemps to recover anything....
remember in computer session: " easy you are, easy you do" !!!!

I suggest you boot with your EBD floppy and run scandisk on the drive before you try third party apps. You ~did~ make one when you installed originally, right? Or, alternately boot with the cd and let it work at correcting the problem.
If you do end up resorting to nu.exe, ensure it's the 32 bit version you're using, and not the old 16 bit version.
