How to remove windows logon window

Hello, OS, window's 98 2nd edition How do I remove the logon prompt when a password "HAS BEEN ENTERED". Single computer no network. There are two users, want to remove both. Thanks Fish

Fish, you could follow those directions or use my easier way. First, go to control panel and open up Network. Change the primary logon to Windows Family Logon or Windows Logon (either will work). Then go to start/find/filesorfolders and in the named box type: *.pwl and make sure its looking in the c directory. Delete all these and reboot. When you reboot, you'll probably get the password thing again, so don't type anything at all, just hit OK and that'll take care of it, no more logon passwords.
