I ve got win 98 install in my computer but it bugs too much (I don't know if you can say bug in english) So I just want to reinstall win98 again but when I lauch the install ,it doesn't work & says:"win 98 is already install in your computer " What can I do ? thanks

are you running Setup from Windows or DOS?

If you have an upgrade version of win95, all you have to do is run setup from the cd. Follow the instructions and install windows to your current windows directory. Setup will retain all of your settings, icons, drivers, and program groups. If you have a full version the only difference is to rename the win.com file win.bak in your windows directory. This will trick setup into thinking that you are doing a fresh install. Oh, and besure to create a startup disk with cdrom support. You will need to run setup from dos, so you need a startup disk to boot up in dos. I f you need a start-up disk, email me, and I will attach the files to my reply. Hope this helps. -df-

try this is easy. firts rename the file win.com, this file found in directory windows, after that try install your windows. firts check if you cdrom work in msdos, if not load drivers and reset.
