Comment: May I know if anyone know how to protect wmv file? I have disabled the right click on the webpage but moving the cursor to the WMP screen, i can still view the URL from the "properties". Appended below is the relevant page: http://jiamin1.freeownhost.com/qianbeiwmv/baiyi.wmv

Reply: (edit)Is this a query about setting a website? The link appears to be the .wmv file itself (it tries to download when you go to it). If it's a Windows query then you can make it read-only and/or hidden but I'm not sure what you mean. DerekW

Reply: (edit)jasmine tan Your server is wide open. If you leave off the wmv reference and just enter http://jiamin1.freeownhost.com/qianbeiwmv/ in the browser then all of your wmv files are there for the taking. Disabling the right click is not going to help. You might want to look into setting up active server pages (ASP) for your display rather than leaving it exposed.

Reply: (edit)In future I think the Web Development forum might be a better choice for queries of this nature. DerekW

Reply: (edit)Thank you for all your response. I really apprecaite it. I have given the wrong URL earlier. It should be the one appended below: http://jiamin1.freeownhost.com/qianbeiwmv/baiyi.htm I didn't realise that the server is lest wide open! Shocking to know that. Wonder what I should do next! I will go to web development forum to make queries!

Reply: (edit)Kind Zoddy from WEB DEVELOPMENT forum suggested converting wmv file to ASF file. I tried and now my problem is solved. Many thanks to all of you for your kind assistance. I really appreciate it.
