Reply: (edit)If you only need to transfer files between the two computers, you need to buy a USB file transfer cable. This will come with a driver that you need to install on both computers. If you wish to network the two computers, then network cards are a better solution.

Reply: (edit)If you are running win98 then the cheapest way will be using laplink cable hooked up through the printer ports on both computers and launch the direct connection setup.

The NIC in each PC and cross-over (cat 5 UTP) cable between them (don't need a hub to 2 PC LAN) is the better option? It's cheap, fast, adaptable to future growth.
