How to install 98 w/o a CD-ROM

CPU/Ram: 100MHZ/32MB

I need to install 98 on an old laptop that has no cd-rom drive it does have a floppie drive but i don't know how to create install floppies from the 98 cd. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

you can remove the hard drive and use an adapter to hook it up to a desk top machine, format the drive and copy the win98 folder onto it and put it back in the lap top and run the set up from there.

you still need to make a boot disk if you do it budm way.

download a windows 98 bootdisk from bootdisk.com and then stick it in you computer before it switches on. then you'll be at a command prompt. assuming you did it budm's way then just type the location of the windows folders in and then type setup

you can make the drive bootable by using sys command or just use the bootup disk that you can make by formatting the the floppy with the copy system on the check box. You only need to able boot in dos, once you get to the 'A' promt , you just change it to 'c'then change the directory to win98 and then type setup.
