I dont want MSN mesenger to startup when I boot up. I went to system configuration Utility, to disable the program. It worked, but then somehow, it keeps re-enabling it. MSN keeps coming back.

Everytime you "open" MSN to use it, it will put itself in your start-up folder. I believe there is an option in the program that lets you stop it from doing this. Also, go into "taskbar" "Remove" and delete it from the "startup" folder.

Open up your MSN by clicking on the little green guy on your task bar. Now go to: tools/options/preferences. Here there is an option under the General section to:
Run this program when windows starts. Make sure this is unchecked.

Ya, I forgot to mention too if you use IE and log into hotmail it puts MSN messenger on your task bar and you can't remove it as long as your IE browser is open.

Uncheck the "run in background " preferance as well. Then YOU control when MSN messenger is allowed to be on. With the 2 unchecked you can turn on or turn off at your leasure, with out dumping IE or disconnecting from your hookup
