hi ! big problem, I have a S3 videocard already on a IBM MotherBoard (without memory ) and now it's in conflict with my regular videocard (ISA trident 8900), how can I disable or tell the computer to do not detect it when it boot up and use the external one.. It always say.. at boot-up trouble with your video card.. so never able to have more than minimum config.. 16 color... any idea, suggestion ?? thanks...

Enter the BIOS setup while it's booting up, and disable the on board video if there is a setting for that. Remove the S3 in device manager. Find your motherboard mfg and get the manual for it, might be a pin or jumper you can change to disable it. I have the same problem on one of my other pc's, an onboard S3 that won't die, so I installed the latest drivers and it works fine. Get your sound card drivers at Windrivers.com.

You can only have one VGA so reboot and enter the CMOS setup when prompted and select CHIPSET setup section and using the arrow keys and page up and down keys you can disable the onboard VGA Chip, depending on your BIOS manufacturer of course.Don't forget to save settings when you exit.
