To determine type of video card!!!!!!!!

Go into MSDOS and go to the c:\ prompt.
At the prompt type the following:

C:\> Debug hit enter
You will only see a DASH now.
At the dash type this: - d c000:0090 and
hit enter. You will see many numbers but at the end of all those numbers should be a description of your video card.
When you are finished type the letter Q to get out of Debug.
There are also Debug commands to find out your BIOS Date and for testing ports and joysticks and printers, etc. Good luck.

An easier way is to Start\Run\dxdiag
Once this settles down, click the "display"
tab.
