Husband's AMD clone missing files:
C:windows\system\vmm32\ios.vxd
C:windows\vmm32\ifsmgr\vxd.
I copied the files from my HP\AMD550 but don't know how to copy them to his machine. His just starts and states missing files then shuts down before full boot. THX Marilyn

At the dos prompt, type in;

cd c:\windows\system\vmm32

You should now be in the "receiving" sub-directory. (I take it the files are on a floppy.) Insert the floppy in the A drive, and type;

copy/v a:\*.vxd

Boot your computer using a 98 start-up disk (ie boot disk) then you should get a command prompt so you can copy your files.
