How to configure for 'sleep' option

Comment:
When I start my Acer Win98SE machine and hold down F2, to see and set the Bios. The power manager options are always disabled. I always set it to be enabled, but the next time I check it is disabled again. I have done this many times and it won't stay enabled. I am trying to get my sleep manager utility to suspend, or hybernate. I assume that because the bios will not enable those system options, it will not work. What is the usual configuration for using suspend or/and hybernate? I have access to several utility programs that have the suspend / hybernate / standby options, but they will not work. The Restart and Shutdown options do work properly. I have an Airboard wireless keyboard with an enclosed CD program that allows for suspend/hybernate/standby. It used to work with a button click. For some reason it does not work any longer. The computer is working perfectly in all other respects.
Any suggestions -- please?
Thanks,
Ron
PS I recently reinstalled Windows98SE successfully.

Try reinstalling your keyboard drivers.

Grasshopper,
Thanks for your response. It didn't work to reinstall the keyboard drivers. I reinstalled the original ACER configuration from the Recovery CD that came with the machine. It erased everything, but I always keep backups on a floppy or a pc memory card of the important stuff. The hybernation function works now. I don't know what the problem really was.
