I have 2 modems. Both are V.90 & K56. One is creative blaster PCI modem and the other one is LT win ISA modem. My first question is how to combine 2 modem to increase connection speed; second question is why the connection speed is only 26.4K or 28.8K even though my internet provider has V.90 & K56 support and I just updated the modem driver ,so how can I increase connection speed.

Your phone line cant carry enough data (bandwidth), a dedicated digital line would fix this. I can tell your using a normal voice line (as most of us are), to connect to the net. Speak to your phone company.

For one, your ISP has to support multiple modems, or you will end up buying 2 accounts...and that's only with modems that will work together
secondly, make sure your phone lines are clean, with a direct connection to the wall
you can have a phone guy look at your house for under $50 and see any wiring problems

The DTMF modulation of the USB for the continuance of the carrier must equal the inverse of the proportional resistance.

Deviation can lead to reduced connection speed and dual model configuration incompatibility.

You will need 2 modems, 2 dial up accounts, and 2 phone lines. Make sure your ISP supports multilinking or bonding.

Just go to Windows Help Manager. In the index box type multilink, select multilink from the list, and click display. The directions will show you from there.

You don't need any special line to do this. I gurantee you will see blazing results once everything is up and running.

I have got my 33.6 voice modem to connect at 115200 by setting its driver to
STANDARD 33600 modem.
I also have two modems a 33.6 voice and a v.90, you have to have two lines, two accounts(may cost more),and two modems that will work with each other. Also the ISP must support it. Good luck

For W95 download the Dial Up Networking 1.3 Upgrade and Winsock2 update. These are both available from Microsoft. Once these updates are installed, multilinking support is available in the properties section of Dial Up Networking. You must have two modems, two phone lines and an ISP that supports concurrent logins. I use multilinking with a USR 56k and LT 56K pci. After installing the winsock2 and dun 1.3 update, set up your connection. This is a two step process. I set up my first conection with the LT, go to properties for the connecetion, go to multilinking, and set up your second device. It is really not as complicated as it may sound.
