hello,
i was looking at something on CD and tried to open some files from D:\
as the icons have 'windows' logo....when i tried to double click to open it, i had this option --- 'open with' and presented with some options, and i accidentally clicked on the 'internet explorer' logo/icon to open it but notthing happened......i would like to change it back to the original settings with the windows icon again.....how should i do so? pls?and also......how much can i purchase an ACCPAC software?
thanks

Select the file, hold down the shift key and right click. Select `Open With'. Select the program that you want to open it.

Dad, i accidentally clicked on the 'internet explorer' and while I was in the store some jerk banged into it so don't get mad at me because of what some jerk did to your car.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Karen, Bill's offering can reassociate to some other inappropriate application if you are interested but I think you need or want to actually disassociate the file completely.
To do so you need to know the file's extension. Go to Start, Settings, Folder Options, under the View tab remove the check next to Hide file extensions for known file types.
You should then be able to see the extensions. Post back with the extension in question. Perhaps there is an appropriate program to associate it to.
