I am trying to fing out how to change the association of jpg's with a certain program.
I installed a program and it took over the associations or maybe it would be better to say that it became the default veiwer for the pic's .
How do I cange it back to the microsoft veiwer?

Any help would be appreciated.

Byt the way still no helpful answer on whether a scanner can be networked?
Anyone?

Go to Start/Run and type winfile.exe and press o.k. Then go to any jpg file and highlight it. Then select file/associate/and select the program you want to use to open this type of file.

OR you can go to Windows Explorer, click on View/folder options/view and select image/jpeg---edit---edit again--- and use browse to assign the application to open.
The choice is yours, but I like winfile over explorer, however for a permanent change maybe you should use explorer.

G'day Sasha, you can go to the View\Options\File Types tab and scroll down to you find JPG file extension and select the EDIT button and reassociate from there, or you could highlite a .jpg file and hold down your the Shift key and use the 'open with' command or if you are Registry-Wise you can also make changes in there too.

As for your scanner, yes I did see your Post but as my scanner does not seem to facilitate that function I did not answer although mines a bit old now.

To open a file with a different program,
hold SHIFT and right-click the file. Click "Open With".
Under Choose the program you want to use, click the
program you want to use, and then click OK.
If you
want all files of this type to be associated
with this program, check the box, this program to open this type of file.>
