Comment: HI, I need to change the ip address on my win95 pc. I can not connect to the network, cuz the ip is not correct. And my networking icon is disabled on the configuration panel.i have access to Dos. is there a way to change my IP address with DOS. thank you.

Reply: (edit)You can in DOS... here's how, I'm assuming that you are setting it to DHCP, and not fixed. In DOS type ipconfig That will list all of the ip resources. Then type ipconfig/renew_all That should automatically reset them all, make sure that's its different than the one you had before, if its not you may need to realease them all first, type ipconfig/release_all That will release them, try renewing again. Hope that helps
