How do i change the com ports, for instance win 95, in device manager/modem/properties is set to com1, in device manager/ports/communication is set to com1, if i go into cmos the com1 is greyed out so i cant change it, i tried changing com2 & system hung, i want to change modem to com 2, how do i do this?

If it's an external modem you have to move the cable from the com1 connector to the com2 connector.
If it's an internal modem it might require changing plugs on the card else or using the modem driver software.
