Hi all
After finally getting my computer to have 256 colour instead of 16 colour I thought the following information could help all those people with the same problem as me.
1. Firstly, make a note of your video card make and model. If you are like me and you did not have any information regarding the video card then you need to open up the back of the PC and physically examine the card. Look for make e.g. STB Systems and the model e.g. Velocity 128 AGP.
2. Download the driver for the video card form the website of the relevant company e.g. STB Systems. A good place to start is:
www.driverguide.com. Save the driver file either to a disk or to your hard drive (for some drivers you will need to unzip the file)3. Go to start, settings, control panel, display. In display go to settings and then to advanced properties. Locate the make of video card and then the model. Click on have disk.
4. Browse for the driver i.e. on disk or hard drive and then after making sure that the path is correct click ok.
5. The driver should load and then when you go back to display settings the other colour ranges will have appeared. Click apply and then restart your computer.
I tried various things before finally getting the colour settings to work. I hope you all have the same fortune as me.
Good luck!
Maria Garcia

You can do it by right clicking the mouse button and selecting properties in the panel. Then in display panel select settings tab and then go to colour palette and select what u want to do.
