Subject: How to avoid clicks in between tracks when burning audio? |
Comment: I keep getting annoying clicks in between tracks while burning audio CD's. I'm using nero 5.0 and i tried 2 methods of recording and settings "jitter filtering".I'm getting clicks when i try to make a compilation of songs "track at once" and use CD copy. My configuration is p200,64mb,2.1gb 8x4x32 Sony burner,CD rom player Aopen 32x Any idea how to make a CD without those damn clicks?

Reply: (edit)Have you tried to drop down your write speed to the very minimum setting (e.g. :1x or 2x)? Another thing you can try is to disable any TSR's and any other application that may be running while you're burning CD's. I've also noticed the same problems in Nero, so now I use the new Windows Media Player which works very well for me.

Reply: (edit)From everything I've read the best way to burn music cd's is to use the "disc at once" setting. (or is that what you meant by 'track at once'?) Anyway...You create a complete playlist then burn the whole disc. This closes the disc whe finished and is supposed to eliminate the between track clicks. This is the way I've done it and I've never had any problems with clicks. I've just used adaptec easy cd creator. I've heard nero is better... but I've had no problems with the adaptec.
