Hi there I was wondering how is windows 98 a bootable cd I see no file in the root dir except setup and some text files yet I can stick it in my drive (cd -rom) and it will let me choose to boot from harddrive or cd and then even has the ability to let me boot to dos with cd-rom support. How is this happing..I want to make a disc like this yet I see no file on this disc to copy..any one know how this is done...please e-mail me.

To create a Bootable CD, perform the following steps:
Open the Easy CD Creator program. From the Start menu, point to Programs, Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4, Features, and then click Easy CD Creator.Insert a blank CD into your CD-R or CD-RW drive (the destination drive).
From the File menu, point to New CD Layout, and then click Bootable CD.
In the Prepare Bootable Files dialog box, insert the bootable disk in the floppy disk drive, and then click OK.
The contents of the floppy disk are copied and stored in the CD Layout area. Two special, read-only, files are added to the root directory of the CD Layout: BOOTCAT.BIN and BOOTIMG.BIN.
From the File menu, click Create CD.
In the CD Creation Setup dialog box, click OK.
After the creation process is complete, click OK.
