I had it set that where Media Player 2 would start the minute I selected a video on the internet.

A game I rescently loaded had me download Quicktime. Then when I selected a video on the internet Quicktime started. I did something to make Windows Media Player 2 the starting media player rather than Quicktime, but now when I select a video, it first ask me to download the video before playing the video.

How can I have Windows Media Player 2 play the video rather than download the video?

Dirk

See Windows Media site which will answer all questions of use. Generally you just need to go into the Media player preferences and make it the default player.

I would add that even WMP7.1 will not run the "newer" QuickTime .mov files, only the older ones.

You need to use QuickTime itself for these, so you may need to undo whatever you did.
