I spend alot of time on the road, consequently listening to a number of audio books. I would like to know if it is possible to save the free audio books found on the web and save them to my hard drive for later burning to cd's. Most of these books are in "REAL" format. Can I do it? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

One way I do it is to use a program that can record "what you hear".
For example on my SB Live sound card there is a program that records sound in high quality as you hear it and saves it as a WAV file.
I then use a free WAV editor that came with my sound card to edit the sound if I choose and then save it as an MP3.
There are alot of shareware programs that can do this for you.
Try these links:
To record streaming audio:

To convert audio WAV to MP3:

There is a freebie called Total Recorder. It works great for recording directly from your sound card. Simple to use.
