How do i recognize the RAM is DDR Type?Is there any s/w which can point the same or looking at it i can?

and DDR is latest or any new good typre ram is available for 1.8GHz Intel??

If you are looking at the ram module SDRAM has 2 notches on it, while DDR ram only has 1. Also, DDR ram is a 180 pin module while SDRAM is 130 pin. DDR ram is the better of the two, but there is PC2100, Pc2700, etc.. in DDR memory, but you need to look at your owners manual for your motherboard and see what type of DDR memory it can take.
