Subject: How do I listen to international radio on the Internet?
Comment:

I've recently read in Reader's Digest that there are ways to listen to international radio stations using the Internet. I moved from Seattle Washington (USA) to Melbourne Australia and I would like to listen to live radio from Seattle using the Internet. Can anyone suggest how this is done and to what sites I should connect? Thanx!!!!!!!!!

I got a program called Realplayer G2, its rather common and easy to find, when you download and install the program it has a list of a few radio stations around the world you can listen to and the option to find your own, all you do then is find the website for the radio station you want to find and usually they will have an address that connects you. Be warned, if you want to do this on a normal modem through your phone line its going to sound bad and be VERY glitchy, so much infact, its probably not worth it, give it a go though =)

Windows Media Player (I think it's a M$ item) allows this...

Do a search for it on msn.com, or the web...

Also Quick-time from Apple... Although it's primarily a MAC item, it does work with PC. It's available off the Apple site for a free download; there is a Pro version as well for around $30. (I don't work for Apple, but the product is OK and I use it, or Windows Media Player...). Again, do a search if need be on Apple.com

Real Audio tends to have some minor problems from my own experience; and they 'were' caught logging/analysing the use you made of it for music files etc. (and selling on the info.?) recently....; they say they are no longer doing this... hmmm...!

Good luck
