Hi, I forget how to get my IE icon on my dektop. I don't want just a shortcut, I want the real icon, so I can right click on it and go into the properties/internet options. I know with XP you right click on the desktop and go into the desktop properties and you can choose which icons to display, I just forget how in 98SE. Thanks!! Tim

Thanks!! but it was already checked.... I wonder if me having 16 web page shortcuts on my desktop has something to do w/ it. Like, maybe one of them over-wrote the main IE icon. I have a bad habbit of "creating shortcuts" when I am on a page, and I wanna save it to read later. I wonder if that has something to do w/ it? It's strange...but thanks for the lead!

Try unticking it and then reticking it. Don't for get to click on Apply and Ok when done.
Otherwise check to see if it was blocked using TweakUI in the Control Panel.
